What we collect

We collect your verified email address, studio and location context, teaching experience, rates, weekly workload, optional job title and notes, plus a history of changes and your matching or marketing choices.

Why we use it

• Verify submissions, prevent duplicates, maintain benchmark quality, and let you manage reports.
• Produce public market statistics only after the privacy threshold is met; public statistics contain no email or individual studio report.
• Use your profile for future instructor-to-studio matching only when you actively opt in.
• Send product news or offers only when you separately opt in to marketing.

Lawful basis and your choices

We rely on legitimate interests for verification, fraud prevention, report management, and confidential benchmark integrity. We keep a balancing assessment for that use. Future matching and marketing depend on separate consent that you can withdraw from your private reports page without losing access to the rate checker.

Storage, access and recipients

Email addresses are encrypted and kept separate from public analytics. Named, authorised operators can reveal an identity only through an audited internal action. Infrastructure and email-delivery providers process data for Pilates Pay; we do not publish your email or individual report and do not share it with studios unless a future matching flow asks for and records your decision.

Pilates Pay is the controller for the information described here. Hosting, database, monitoring, and transactional-email suppliers act as processors under access and confidentiality controls. Ask the privacy contact below for the current supplier and international-transfer safeguards relevant to your record.

Retention and your rights

We review identifiable contributor records 24 months after the most recent verification. When the identity link is no longer needed, we remove the email, permissions, exact studio association, free-text context, and private version history. Coarse de-identified rate evidence may be retained internally but no longer contributes to current benchmarks. From your private reports page you can correct or withdraw a report, change permissions, or remove the identity link. You may also request access, correction, restriction, objection, portability, or erasure where applicable.

Matching and profiling

Automated matching is not live. Before it is enabled, Pilates Pay will complete a data-protection impact assessment, explain the matching logic and effects, and add controls to review or challenge profile decisions.
